Touchpad not working

today i started my laptop and my touchpad worked for sometime then it stopped working and then i restarted my laptop it again worked for a while and then stopped . i was feeling irritated . so i tried to find a solution online and tried a few things that were written on ubuntu forums but that didn’t worked for me so i continued using it in that condition.
